The t-zone secretes oily of your face

The central parts of a person's face which includes the forehead, nose and chin, comprise a T-zone. The t-zone secretes more oil than the rest of your face and can make it appear oily and unpleasant. People with oily and combination skin usually face a tougher time trying to keep this t-zone oil free. With a little more effort and care, you can treat this problem. Follow our easy tips to treat an oily t-zone.

Keeping the pores clean
Oil is produced by the sebaceous glands and is secreted through the pores on our skin. In order to keep the oil production in control, you have to make sure to keep your pores clean. Use a good facial cleanser that is pH balanced and is formulated for people with oily skin. While a person with oily or combination skin has to use such a face cleanser throughout the year, a person with dry skin may only have to switch to an oil control cleanser during summer to take care of their t-zone.

Wash your face at least five times a day
Washing your face is the best way to beat the oil. Wash your face thoroughly every morning once you get up as the body secretes a lot of oil, especially from your t-zone while you sleep. Carry a face wash to work and remember to cleanse your face.

Water based moisturiser
Many people tend to skip on the moisturiser as it only makes the skin oilier. But moisturising is an important ritual and skipping it will only make your skin dry and encourage more oil production. Buy a water based moisturiser which is non-comedogenic and oil free. A person with combination skin can opt for a lighter moisturiser for the t-zone and a thicker formula for the rest of the face.

Bottled rose water spray
Spraying rosewater on your face will refresh it. Carry a handy bottle of rosewater with you everywhere you go. You can use cotton buds to dab a little rosewater on your t-zone to control that unpleasant shine.

Blotting it out
You can't always wash your face, especially when you're out. In times like these, a blotting paper comes handy. There are many blotting papers that are available in the market. They can soak up all the excess oil on your face and can get rid of that shine.

Aloe vera treatment
Aloe vera is known to nourish the skin tissue and also helps maintain the pH balance. Apply some aloe vera gel on your t-zone, to control excess oil production. You could also use fresh extracts from the aloe vera plant on your face for 15 minutes and then rinse it off.
